Capsicum & Chilli — Full Description
Our fresh capsicum and chilli programme supplies importers, retail chains and food-service distributors who need consistent colour, firmness and shelf life on arrival. Capsicum is grown largely under polyhouse conditions in Maharashtra and Karnataka, harvested at full colour, field-cooled within hours of picking, then graded by diameter into 70–80 mm and 80–90 mm counts and packed into ventilated corrugated cartons of 5 kg and 10 kg. Green, red and yellow capsicum are available year-round from staggered plantings, and mixed-colour pallets can be built to a buyer's ratio. Green and red chillies are sourced from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, graded 5–12 cm by length, sorted for straightness and freedom from blemish, and packed with the same cold-chain discipline. Cold chain is unbroken from field to freight: pre-cooling to 8–10°C, refrigerated transport to the packhouse and port, and reefer container or air-freight shipment at 7–10°C with controlled relative humidity. Every consignment is residue-tested against the destination market's MRL requirements and travels with a phytosanitary certificate. Typical shelf life on arrival is 10–14 days at 7–10°C for capsicum, which supports air freight to the Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia, and reefer shipment to nearer markets. Pallet-level and air-freight quantities are both accepted, making trial orders straightforward.

Capsicum & Chilli — Buyer Questions
How long do fresh capsicum and chillies stay in good condition after shipment?
Capsicum holds 10–14 days at 7–10°C and 90–95% relative humidity from dispatch, and chillies a similar window. That supports air freight to most markets and reefer shipment to the Middle East, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia.
Are your consignments pesticide-residue tested?
Yes. Each consignment is tested against the destination market's MRL requirement — EU, GCC or other — and the residue report ships with the phytosanitary certificate and certificate of origin.
What is the minimum order quantity for fresh capsicum and chillies?
Our standard MOQ is 1 pallet for air freight or 1 reefer FCL for sea shipment. Trial and sample-order quantities can be arranged for first-time buyers, and mixed-product containers are accepted so you can consolidate several items in one shipment.
What is the production and shipping lead time?
Harvest, grading and packing are completed within 3–5 days of order confirmation so the produce moves at peak freshness. Transit time then depends on destination — typically 18–25 days to Europe, 22–30 days to North America, 7–12 days to the Middle East and 12–18 days to Southeast Asia from Indian ports (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai).
Which Incoterms and payment terms do you work on?
We quote EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP. Payment is normally 30% advance with balance against scanned Bill of Lading, or an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight from a prime bank. Terms for repeat buyers are negotiable.
What export documents are provided with each shipment?
Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate (where applicable), Certificate of Analysis for the lot, FSSAI licence copy and any buyer-specific documentation such as health or halal certificates.
Can we get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We ship 100–500 g representative samples by courier against freight cost, drawn from the same lot you will be offered. Pre-shipment samples of the actual production lot are also sent for approval on request.
