Dried Whole Mushrooms — Full Description
Indian Shroom Company supplies export-grade dried whole mushrooms produced from cultivated button, shiitake, oyster and lion's mane crops, along with wild-harvested Gucchi (morel) from the Himalayan belt. Mushrooms are harvested at optimum maturity, hand-graded, washed and dried in temperature-controlled hot-air dryers at 45–55°C, a slow profile that protects the cap structure, natural colour and the volatile compounds responsible for aroma. Finished product is moisture-controlled to 8% or below and metal-detected before packing, giving a stable, lightweight ingredient with an 18–24 month shelf life and no need for cold-chain shipping. Every lot is tested for moisture, foreign matter, admixture and microbiology (Total Plate Count, E. coli, Salmonella, yeast and mould) and released against a Certificate of Analysis. Cut sizes are made to buyer specification — whole caps, sliced 3–5 mm or diced 10 × 10 mm — and rehydration ratio is verified batch by batch, typically 1:6 to 1:8 by weight for button and shiitake. Typical applications include instant soups and noodle sachets, sauces and gravies, ready meals, pizza toppings, plant-based meat analogues and retail dried-mushroom packs. We supply food manufacturers, importers, repackers and food-service distributors across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, on both spot and annual contract programmes.

Dried Whole Mushrooms in Detail

Dried Whole Mushrooms — Buyer Questions
What moisture level and grade do your dried mushrooms ship at?
Standard export grade is 8% maximum moisture with under 1% admixture and no artificial bleaching or sulphur treatment. Tighter moisture specs (for example 6% for powder milling) can be produced on request and are confirmed in the Certificate of Analysis for the lot.
Which mushroom varieties and cut sizes can you supply?
Button, shiitake, oyster, lion's mane and seasonal Gucchi (morel). Each is available as whole caps (3–6 cm), sliced (3–5 mm) or diced (10 × 10 mm), and we can mill to flakes or powder on the same order.
What is the minimum order quantity for dried whole mushrooms?
Our standard MOQ is 500 kg per variety. Trial and sample-order quantities can be arranged for first-time buyers, and mixed-product containers are accepted so you can consolidate several items in one shipment.
What is the production and shipping lead time?
Production takes 10–15 days from order confirmation for standard grades, or 20–25 days for custom cuts and private-label packing. Transit time then depends on destination — typically 18–25 days to Europe, 22–30 days to North America, 7–12 days to the Middle East and 12–18 days to Southeast Asia from Indian ports (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai).
Which Incoterms and payment terms do you work on?
We quote EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP. Payment is normally 30% advance with balance against scanned Bill of Lading, or an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight from a prime bank. Terms for repeat buyers are negotiable.
What export documents are provided with each shipment?
Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate (where applicable), Certificate of Analysis for the lot, FSSAI licence copy and any buyer-specific documentation such as health or halal certificates.
Can we get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We ship 100–500 g representative samples by courier against freight cost, drawn from the same lot you will be offered. Pre-shipment samples of the actual production lot are also sent for approval on request.
