Product Description

Garlic — Fresh & Dehydrated — Full Description

Indian Shroom Company exports Indian garlic in both fresh and dehydrated formats from the principal growing belts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Fresh garlic is cured in the field, cleaned, sorted by bulb diameter into 4.5–5.5 cm and 5.5–6.5 cm grades, and packed in ventilated mesh or leno bags so the crop breathes through the voyage; single-clove and peeled-clove formats are available for buyers who want kitchen-ready material. The dehydrated line begins with the same raw crop, which is peeled, sliced, washed and dried to 6% maximum moisture before being cut into flakes (8–16 mesh), granules (20–40 mesh) or milled to powder (80–100 mesh), with garlic paste produced for food-service and industrial kitchens. Pungency, measured as allicin-forming potential, is protected by controlled drying temperatures, and colour is maintained by avoiding over-drying and by sulphur-free processing. All dehydrated lots are metal-detected, sieved, tested for moisture, ash, insoluble ash and full microbiology, and released against a Certificate of Analysis. Buyers include spice repackers, seasoning houses, sauce and pickle manufacturers, snack producers and wholesale importers. We ship both spot orders and annual contract volumes, with 1 MT minimums on dehydrated grades and full container loads on fresh, supported by phytosanitary certification and origin documentation for every consignment.

FAQ

Garlic — Fresh & Dehydrated — Buyer Questions

What bulb sizes and dehydrated grades do you offer?

Fresh garlic is graded 4.5–5.5 cm and 5.5–6.5 cm, with single-clove and peeled options. Dehydrated grades run from 8–16 mesh flakes through 20–40 mesh granules to 80–100 mesh powder, and we also supply garlic paste for food-service use.

Is your dehydrated garlic sulphur-treated or bleached?

No. We process sulphur-free and do not bleach, so colour is the natural white to creamy white of the crop. Moisture is held at 6% maximum, which is what protects colour and pungency through storage.

What is the minimum order quantity for garlic?

Our standard MOQ is 1 MT for dehydrated grades, 1 FCL for fresh. Trial and sample-order quantities can be arranged for first-time buyers, and mixed-product containers are accepted so you can consolidate several items in one shipment.

What is the production and shipping lead time?

Dehydrated grades ship in 12–18 days from order confirmation; fresh garlic is dispatched within 7–10 days subject to crop availability and harvest season. Transit time then depends on destination — typically 18–25 days to Europe, 22–30 days to North America, 7–12 days to the Middle East and 12–18 days to Southeast Asia from Indian ports (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai).

Which Incoterms and payment terms do you work on?

We quote EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP. Payment is normally 30% advance with balance against scanned Bill of Lading, or an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight from a prime bank. Terms for repeat buyers are negotiable.

What export documents are provided with each shipment?

Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate (where applicable), Certificate of Analysis for the lot, FSSAI licence copy and any buyer-specific documentation such as health or halal certificates.

Can we get samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. We ship 100–500 g representative samples by courier against freight cost, drawn from the same lot you will be offered. Pre-shipment samples of the actual production lot are also sent for approval on request.
