Grains, Pulses & Spices — Full Description
This line covers the staple-food side of our export book: Indian wheat and maize, a broad pulse range, and single-origin black pepper and cumin. Wheat is supplied in milling and feed grades with protein typically 10–12%, and maize as yellow feed and food-grade material at 14% maximum moisture with aflatoxin controlled to destination limits. The pulse range includes red and green lentils, chickpeas in kabuli and desi types calibrated by millimetre, pigeon peas, mung beans and kidney beans, all machine-cleaned and gravity-separated to 99% minimum purity with foreign matter and stones removed. On spices, Malabar black pepper is graded by grain size — commonly 4–5 mm — with moisture below 12%, light-berry content controlled and volatile-oil content declared, while cumin seed is supplied at 99% and 99.5% purity with the singed and machine-cleaned options European buyers ask for. All spice lots are tested for moisture, ash, acid-insoluble ash, volatile oil, pesticide residue against EU MRLs and microbiology including E. coli and Salmonella per lot, with steam-sterilised material available where a low microbial count is required. Packing runs from 25 kg and 50 kg PP woven or jute bags to jumbo bags for bulk grain buyers. We work with mills, spice houses, repackers, institutional buyers and wholesale importers on both spot orders and long-term supply contracts with fixed quarterly pricing.

What black pepper specification do you ship?
Malabar black pepper at 4–5 mm grain size, 500–550 g/l bulk density, under 12% moisture, with light berries and admixture controlled to your spec and volatile oil typically 2% minimum. E. coli and Salmonella are tested per lot and steam-sterilised material is available.
How are your pulses cleaned and calibrated?
Pulses are machine-cleaned, destoned and gravity-separated to 99% minimum purity. Chickpeas are calibrated by millimetre — 7 mm through 12 mm — and lentils and beans are graded to your size and colour requirement before packing.
What is the minimum order quantity for grains, pulses and spices?
Our standard MOQ is 1 MT for spices and 1 FCL for grains and pulses. Trial and sample-order quantities can be arranged for first-time buyers, and mixed-product containers are accepted so you can consolidate several items in one shipment.
What is the production and shipping lead time?
Cleaning, grading and packing take 12–20 days from order confirmation; steam sterilisation of spices adds about a week. Transit time then depends on destination — typically 18–25 days to Europe, 22–30 days to North America, 7–12 days to the Middle East and 12–18 days to Southeast Asia from Indian ports (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai).
Which Incoterms and payment terms do you work on?
We quote EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP. Payment is normally 30% advance with balance against scanned Bill of Lading, or an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight from a prime bank. Terms for repeat buyers are negotiable.
What export documents are provided with each shipment?
Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate (where applicable), Certificate of Analysis for the lot, FSSAI licence copy and any buyer-specific documentation such as health or halal certificates.
Can we get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We ship 100–500 g representative samples by courier against freight cost, drawn from the same lot you will be offered. Pre-shipment samples of the actual production lot are also sent for approval on request.
