Onions — Fresh & Dehydrated — Full Description
Onions are one of our highest-volume export lines, sourced from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh and structured so buyers can order precisely what they need. The fresh range is organised by colour — red, white, yellow and small shallot-type — and graded by diameter into 40–50 mm, 50–60 mm, 60–80 mm and 80 mm-plus counts, cured to reduce field heat, sorted for firmness and neck condition, then packed in ventilated mesh or leno bags that allow airflow across long sea voyages. Red onions from the Nashik belt carry the strong pungency and deep colour that South Asian, Middle Eastern and African markets expect; white and yellow onions serve processors and European retail programmes. The dehydrated range is structured by colour as well: red onion flakes, powder and fried barista onions; white onion flakes, chopped, minced, granules and powder; and yellow onion flakes, granules and powder, all dried to a 6% maximum moisture and sieved to declared mesh sizes. Fried barista onions are prepared in refined oil, drained to a controlled residual oil content and packed for crisp texture retention. Every dehydrated lot is metal-detected and tested for moisture, ash and microbiology, while fresh shipments travel with phytosanitary certification and, where required, pre-shipment inspection. We run year-round supply programmes bridging the Rabi and Kharif harvests.
