Sugar — Full Description
Indian Shroom Company supplies bulk sugar from Indian mills to refineries, beverage bottlers, bakery and confectionery manufacturers and wholesale importers. The primary grade is ICUMSA 45 white refined sugar — sparkling white, free-flowing crystal with polarisation of 99.7% minimum or better, moisture at 0.04% maximum and low ash and colour, produced to the specification international food manufacturers rely on for consistent sweetness and clarity in solution. We also offer raw sugar (ICUMSA 600–1200) for refineries and industrial users who process further. Crystal size is typically 0.6–1.2 mm for refined grades, with finer or coarser cuts available on request. Sugar is packed in 50 kg PP woven bags with a food-grade polyethylene inner liner to guard against moisture pickup, or in 1 MT jumbo bags for bulk handling, and can move as container loads or break-bulk vessel shipments depending on volume. Each consignment is supported by a Certificate of Analysis covering polarisation, moisture, ash, colour in ICUMSA units, sulphur dioxide and microbiology, plus a Certificate of Origin, phytosanitary or health certificate where required, and independent inspection through SGS or an equivalent agency where the buyer requests it. Minimum order is one full container of approximately 27 MT, with vessel-scale quantities quoted on request for refinery buyers and government tenders.

Sugar — Buyer Questions
What exactly does ICUMSA 45 mean?
ICUMSA is the international scale for sugar colour — the lower the number, the whiter and more refined the sugar. ICUMSA 45 is the highest common food-grade standard, with 45 colour units maximum, 99.7% minimum polarisation and 0.04% maximum moisture.
Can you supply vessel-scale or break-bulk quantities?
Yes. Container programmes start at one 20-ft load of about 27 MT, and larger refinery or tender volumes can be quoted as break-bulk vessel shipments in 50 kg bags or 1 MT jumbo bags with independent inspection.
What is the minimum order quantity for sugar?
Our standard MOQ is 1 FCL (approximately 27 MT). Trial and sample-order quantities can be arranged for first-time buyers, and mixed-product containers are accepted so you can consolidate several items in one shipment.
What is the production and shipping lead time?
Container shipments are prepared within 10–15 days of order confirmation or Letter of Credit establishment. Transit time then depends on destination — typically 18–25 days to Europe, 22–30 days to North America, 7–12 days to the Middle East and 12–18 days to Southeast Asia from Indian ports (Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai).
Which Incoterms and payment terms do you work on?
We quote EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP. Payment is normally 30% advance with balance against scanned Bill of Lading, or an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight from a prime bank. Terms for repeat buyers are negotiable.
What export documents are provided with each shipment?
Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate (where applicable), Certificate of Analysis for the lot, FSSAI licence copy and any buyer-specific documentation such as health or halal certificates.
Can we get samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We ship 100–500 g representative samples by courier against freight cost, drawn from the same lot you will be offered. Pre-shipment samples of the actual production lot are also sent for approval on request.
